This privacy policy explains how the game Duskbanner for Android, published on Google Play by PlayVyn Games, handles your data.

Summary

The developer of Duskbanner does not collect, store or sell your personal data. The game has no developer servers and no in-game accounts, and it sends nothing to the developer. The game uses two third-party services from Google:

• Google Play Games Services (optional sign-in), described in section 2;
• Google AdMob, which shows rewarded ads only when you choose to watch one, described in section 3.

1. Data saved on your device

• Your progress (gold, unlocks, achievements, settings, the day you last doubled your gold with an ad, and an unfinished run) is saved on your device, in the game’s own app storage.
• If Android backup is turned on, Android may also keep a copy in your device backup in your Google Account. Google manages that backup, not the developer.
• Uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes this progress from the device.

2. Google Play Games (optional)

You can play the whole game without signing in to Google Play Games. If you sign in, the Google Play Games Services SDK in the game sends the following to Google:

• Achievements you unlock.
• Simple game event counts, with no character, map, device or free text attached:
  • how many runs you started and won at each Night level and in Short mode;
  • in which part of a run you were defeated (minutes 0–4, 5–9 or 10 and later);
  • how many runs you quit.

Google also receives:

• your Play Games player ID and profile (gamer tag, avatar);
• technical diagnostics from the SDK.

Google records this data in your Play Games account and handles it under the Google Privacy Policy. The developer only sees totals for all players in Google Play Console, never who you are.

You can delete this data:

• for this game, in your Play Games profile;
• for all games, in your Google Account.

3. Ads (Google AdMob)

The Android app shows rewarded ads only when you tap a button to watch one, and the reward is written on the button: revive once per run, double the gold of a run once per day, or get one extra reroll on a level-up. There are no ads during play, no ads you have to watch, and no ads in the web version. You can play the whole game without watching any ad.

The ads are served by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). When the ad service runs, the SDK collects and sends to Google:

• your IP address, which may be used to estimate your approximate location;
• ad interactions, such as app launch, taps and video views;
• diagnostic information about the performance of the app and the SDK;
• device identifiers: your Android advertising ID and app set ID.

Google uses this data to show and measure ads, for analytics and to prevent fraud, under the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services. The developer does not receive this data; AdMob only shows the developer totals (for example how many ads were watched).

Your choices:

• In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland (and other places where the law requires it), the game asks for your consent with Google’s consent form before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy options.
• You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on the device).
• If you never tap an ad button, no ad is shown. The ad SDK may still start with the app and request ads in advance.

4. Crash and performance reports

Google Play may collect crash and performance reports (Android vitals) as allowed by your device settings. The developer uses them only to fix bugs and improve performance. These reports do not tell the developer who you are.

5. What we do not do

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts or photos.
• We do not run our own servers, accounts or tracking. The developer does not receive your advertising ID.
• We do not sell data. We do not show ads you did not choose to watch.

6. Security

• Data sent by Google Play Games Services and by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit (TLS / HTTPS).
• The developer does not run servers that store your data.

7. Retention and deletion

8. Children

Duskbanner is intended for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect data from them. Ad requests are not tagged as directed at children, and the ad content is limited to the “PG” (Parental Guidance) rating or lower.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for its use.

• The developer holds no personal data about you.
• Play Games data is controlled through your Play Games profile and Google Account (links above).
• Ad consent can be changed in Settings → Ad privacy options (where required); your advertising ID can be reset or deleted in Android settings.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. The in-game summary (Settings → Privacy) will also be updated.
